A Recipe for World War II

A Recipe for World War II
By HyeJin

People cried from the roof tops,
On the roads, in the narrow streets,
In the grass dead fields.
The sounds burst like grains of sunshine,
The war is over, the war is over.
The future brightly shines.

But was the war really over?
No, in a room sat sinister ambitious politicians
Ready to cook the goose.
Cooking began with cutting the meat.
Each fought for larger share,
Becoming greedier and greedier each second.

Politicians each mixed failure of the Treaty of Versailles
With Failure of the League of Nations.
One applied Fascism, other applied Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin,
other Appeasement, German Aggression, Japanese Aggression.
Their faces stretched in malevolent grins.
Who said the war was over?
The future brightly shines!

I really enjoyed reading your poem. It has got nice word choices and expressions. The structure of the poem is solid and easy to understand. You've made repetition in each stanza and gave it a poetic rhythm. It also has a lot of vivid description and expressions that makes the poem look more melodic than a normal recipe.

I really really like your poem :)
